PIERCETON — The Pierceton Chamber of Commerce has selected Bethel Baptist Church as the January Member of the Month.
Bethel Baptist Church of Pierceton has been a part of the community for over 40 years; meeting together, reaching out, loving Jesus Christ and loving people said a news release from the Pierceton Chamber.
Those who gather at Bethel are involved in the Little Leagues, Pierceton Days, Tomato Festival, and Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels as well as other community events. Bible preaching and teaching is at the center of the services without all the frills and all the lights, but we have genuine people with broken lives who are trying to have their lives changed by Jesus Chris and His Word.
Jim Baughman has been the pastor for the past 15 years. Baughman is actively involved in preaching and teaching, visiting in the community, serving and showing compassion. Through his counseling, Baughman has helped people grow closer to knowing the risen Savior Jesus Christ, said the news release.
Bethel Baptist Church has Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. with Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. They also have Evening Worship at 6 p.m. on Sunday as well. On Wednesday, they have Kids Bible Club, Youth Group and Prayer & Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m.
